چکیده
Abstract The degradation of agricultural terraces is considered a major challenge to soil and water conservation in steep-slope viticulture. Although terracing widespread practice, its sustainability threatened by adverse climatic man-made conditions. Previous studies have shown the impact terrace designs on formation runoff pathways, causing processes platforms (e.g. sheet erosion) walls piping, landslides, collapse). This study evaluates remote sensing versus field-based approach monitor hydrological responsible for degradation, as tested north-Italian vineyard. was based spatially measured Soil Moisture Content (SMC) using Time Domain Reflectometry (TDR) instrument, which clearly revealed saturation hotspots around two damaged area. Moreover, these zones showed particular cross-sectional SMC profile, with highest close platform edges. aerial imagery acquired an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) photogrammetric reconstruction vineyard geomorphology, allowing terrain-based analysis physical erosion modelling. In this approach, simulations indicated that damages could be partly explained preferential pathways caused design. parallel methodology allowed comparison merits limitations either done light published work. occurrence at edges (and their non-typical profiles) better understood from simulated surface flow paths. While causal relationship between heterogeneous instability has been previously reported literature, novelty presented use topsoil indicator potential damages, favouring scalability compared fixed, local often intrusive sub-surface experiments. Remote approaches, however, tend offer most time-efficient solution larger scales, acquisition distribution thus potentially powerful integrated methodology.

Low Cost UAV-based Remote Sensing for Autonomous Wildlife Monitoring
In recent years, developments in unmanned aerial vehicles, lightweight on-board computers, and low-cost thermal imaging sensors offer a new opportunity for wildlife monitoring. In contrast with traditional methods now surveying endangered species to obtain population and location has become more cost-effective and least time-consuming. In this paper, a low-cost UAV-based remote sensing platform...
متن کاملRadar-based remote sensing monitoring of roads
This paper provides a brief description of two powerful radar-based remote sensing techniques to monitor the deformations of roads, their associated infrastructures and, more in general, their surroundings. The first technique is the satellite radar interferometric technique. In this work a specific technique, named Persistent Scatterer Interferometry (PSI), is considered. This technique has wi...
متن کاملM-A model of agricultural remote sensing monitoring metadata based on grid environment
The increase of the amount of agricultural remote sensing monitoring data makes it difficult for data storage and management thereby limiting the utilization of data resources. Considering the security and response time, the original data cannot be directly exposed on the Internet for user queries. Therefore, there is an urgent need to organize and describe agricultural remote sensing monitorin...

Schistosomiasis is a major healthy problem in China, which is one of most badly suffered four countries in the world, and Schistosoma japonicum infection is prevalent in China. In addition, the snail is the only intermediate snail host of Schistosoma japonicum. Therefore, elimination of snail is an important measure that controls and eliminates schistosomiasis. In order to find out the distribu...
